Inspector Lynley first en-lightened our screens in the year of 2002 with the pilot episode and Elizabeth Georges' first novel A Great Deliverance. It was shown as two episodes rather than one complete episode to see how well the audience would take to the new show. As most of you know everyone loved that charasmatic cop and his fiesty partner.

This prompted the BBC to continue making Lynley episodes following with the next episode. They continued to adapt all of George's novels until all 11 had been done. Then they continued to write their own stories that were based on the characters with the approval of each script from the author. The later "off the book" episodes were not so well accepted as they could have been but Lynley still continued to rake in the viewers not just in England but in other countries as well.

However despite the fact that Lynley is at its peak the BBC have decided that the time has come to maybe axe this much beloved show. This has naturally caused a huge outburst within the Lynley community and we don't have anywhere to put it all together except for our groups. So that is why this website is here. Here we can get names with this site i.e. you guys who love the show and some how perswade the BBC to produce more Lynley and get rid of the pointless rubbish.

I NEED HELP WITH THIS WEBSITE PLEASE!!!!

For those of you who do not know how wetpaint works. Wetpaint is set up for people who can't afford websites - its free - and this Save Inspector Lynley does belong to me but you are actually allowed to add to the pages that are unlocked so long as you are a member of wetpaint. If you wish to have pages added so you can add to them then please contact me and I will set the page up for you and then you can add.

As viewers of this particular TV show may have heard this show is due to be axed very soon. This is why this website has been set up. We want you as fans to help us save this fabulous TV show.

For future referance if I continue to recieve rude messages from other people because I have mis-phrased something by mistake this website will be closed and I will no longer participate in the saving of a show that I dearly love.

I now have two names for the site. One is Preserve Inspector Lynley and Save Inspector Lynley. They are an English title and and American title. This is with any luck to stop the conflict of what the website is called. Hopefully it is the right terminology or better phrasing.
